Nylon vs Polyurethane Scaffold Castors

The FG56NY/35/C nylon castor provides a durable 150mm wheel option with a 300kg load capacity per castor.

The FG56PU/35/C polyurethane castor also has a 150mm wheel but increases the rated capacity to 350kg per castor. The polyurethane wheel is mounted on a cast-iron rim and uses a roller bearing.

For applications requiring the larger wheel and plate-mounted configuration, the FG58PU/PLATE 200mm polyurethane castor provides a 400kg load capacity per castor.

Scaffold castors must only be used with compatible scaffolding systems and installed according to the manufacturer’s instructions. The stated load capacities are per castor and should not automatically be treated as the allowable working load of the complete scaffold tower.

The complete scaffold structure, including frames, braces, platforms, castors and locking mechanisms, must be suitable for the intended application and inspected by a suitably competent person before use.

Where the scaffold is stationary and being used at height, ensure that the castor locking mechanism is correctly engaged and that the scaffold is used in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
