Nitto “Hi‑Cupla” & “PVR Cupla” Male Couplers (½″, ¾″, 1″)

General Series Features (Hi‑Cupla)

  • Body Materials: Chrome‑plated steel, brass, or stainless steel

  • Seal Material: NBR (nitrile rubber).

  • Working Pressure: Approx. 215 psi (1.5 MPa or 15 kg/cm²); Maximum Pressure: Approx. 285 psi (2.0 MPa)

  • Temperature Range: –20 °C to +80 °C

  • Features include one‑way automatic shut‑off in the socket, hardened wear‑resistant parts, and robust reliability tested over 100,000 cycles

Models (Male Thread – “PM” type)

These are the male coupler plugs by size:

  • 400PM – ½″ BSP male thread

  • 600PM – ¾″ BSP male thread

  • 800PM – 1″ BSP male thread


PVR Cupla Series (With Purge & Safety Features)

Designed for improved safety and flow:

  • Body Material: Zinc die‑cast brass (and possibly others)

  • Pressure Ratings: Same as Hi‑Cupla—215 psi working, 285 psi maximum

  • Temperature Range: –20 °C to +60 °C

  • Purge function gradually releases residual hose pressure at disconnection to reduce noise and whip effect, includes a sleeve lock for safety, and delivers about 20 % higher flow than the equivalent 400SM socket
