What Is an ISO 1 Single Pilot / Single Solenoid 5/2‑Way Valve?

These valves are standardized under the ISO 5599‑1 (ISO 15407‑1) series and are designed to control double-acting cylinders by directing air supply and exhaust through five ports and two positions.

• ISO 1 refers to the size—typically 1/4″ ports—with standard mounting dimensions ensuring interchangeability across manufacturers.

• 5/2‑Way means there are five ports: one supply (P), two outputs (A and B), and two exhausts (EA and EB), plus two positions—energized and de-energized.
