Description
Product Overview
Tie bars are horizontal stabilising bars that connect the vertical quick-lock (self-locking) scaffolding frames across the bay width (≈908 mm). They significantly enhance the lateral stability of the scaffold tower by forming a rigid diagonal brace when installed.
These components are pre-sized for specific frame heights:
-
1524 mm tie bar for single-bay width scaffold towers
-
2134 mm tie bar for mid-height scaffold setups
-
3048 mm tie bar for taller or double-bay configurations
⚙️ Construction & Features
-
Material: Heavy-gauge steel (typically 40 × 4 mm or similar), hot-dip galvanised or powder-coated for corrosion resistance (based on typical Quicklock system standards).
-
End Fittings: Typically fitted with cam-style or hook connectors to lock securely into frame tube ends—enabling fast connection/disconnection.
-
Compatibility: Designed to work specifically with Quicklock steel scaffolding frames (standard H-frame with built-in locking mechanism).
🛡️ Function & Usage
-
Bracing: They tie two frames together at the same level, preventing lateral sway or buckling under load or wind.
-
Structural Integrity: Especially critical for mobile or freestanding towers (Quicklock frames), ensuring towers up to ~6 m tall remain safe and compliant.
-
Installation: Simple slide-in ends—insert one end into the hook on one frame, click the other end to lock into the adjacent frame.
