Full Product Description
Float Fluid Level Control Switch with 5 Metre Cable – 250VAC, 16A, 50–60Hz, IP68
The Float Fluid Level Control Switch is designed for automatic monitoring and control of liquid levels in tanks, reservoirs, sumps and water storage systems. Supplied with a 5-metre cable, this float switch provides a convenient solution for controlling pumps and other electrical equipment based on changes in fluid level.
The float mechanism operates by rising and falling with the liquid level. When connected correctly to a suitable control circuit, the switch can automatically activate or deactivate equipment when the liquid reaches the required level.
With a 250VAC rating, maximum current rating of 16(4)A, and an IP68 protection rating, this float switch is designed for use in wet environments where protection against water and dust ingress is required.
The 50–60Hz frequency rating makes it suitable for compatible AC electrical applications. Its long 5-metre cable provides flexibility when installing the switch in larger tanks or areas where the control connection is positioned some distance from the fluid level sensor.
Key Features
- Float-operated fluid level control switch
- 5-metre cable
- Rated voltage: 250VAC
- Maximum current: 16(4)A
- Frequency: 50–60Hz
- IP68 protection rating
- Designed for automatic liquid-level control
- Suitable for wet and submerged applications where appropriately installed
- Suitable for water tanks, reservoirs, sumps and pump systems
- Helps automate pump operation based on liquid level
Applications
The float switch can be used for water tanks, storage tanks, reservoirs, sump pumps, drainage systems, water supply systems and other liquid-level control applications.
It is suitable for applications where automatic switching is required as the liquid level rises or falls.
Important: Ensure the switch is correctly wired and that the connected load does not exceed the specified electrical ratings. For pumps or loads exceeding the switch rating, a suitable relay, contactor or control system should be used. Electrical installation should be carried out by a suitably qualified person.
