Description
Product Overview: What is Polistrip C-NA
-
Polistrip C-NA is a non-ammoniated, alkaline floor stripper — described as an “economical non-ammoniated floor stripper.”
-
It is designed to remove old acrylic/polymer floor dressings, sealers, and polishes from sealed or coated floors; basically to strip away existing floor polish or polymer finish so that the floor can be cleaned, neutralized, and re-sealed.
-
Because it is non-ammoniated (i.e. ammonia-free), it’s positioned as a more gentle / possibly less odorous alternative to more aggressive ammonia-based strippers — while still being effective at breaking down polymer/acrylic floor coatings.
-
The Technical Data Sheet (TDS) for Polistrip C-NA lists:
-
pH: 12.0 – 14.0 (i.e. strongly alkaline)
-
Chemical type: water-based detergent / alkali (i.e. not a solvent or acid stripper)
-
Appearance: thin brown liquid with a chemical odor.
-
Active ingredient class includes solvents like propylene glycol methyl ether.
-

🔧 Typical Use & Application Instructions
Based on the technical data:
-
Dilution & Contact Time:
-
Light-duty stripping (low-traffic areas): dilute around 50 ml per liter water (≈ 1:20; 5%) and apply with mop/bucket. Soak ~10 minutes, then scrub with a black scrubbing pad and rinse thoroughly.
-
Medium to heavy-duty stripping (high traffic / heavy build-up): dilute about 200 ml per liter water (≈ 1:5; 20%), soak ~10 minutes, scrub, multiple rinses, then neutralize and re-seal.
-
-
After stripping, it’s recommended to follow up with neutralizing (for example using the brand’s floor neutralizer) and then re-seal or re-dress the floor with suitable floor polish/sealer.
⚠️ Safety & Handling / Technical Considerations
From the TDS:
-
Because of high alkalinity (pH 12–14), Polistrip C-NA can be irritating / corrosive: avoid contact with skin and eyes. Wear industrial gloves, protective clothing, eye protection, and respirator mask (especially in poorly ventilated areas).
-
If contact occurs flush skin/eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes; if swallowed or inhaled, seek medical attention.
-
Do not mix with acids. Avoid storage in containers made of tin, aluminum, brass, zinc, or alloys containing these metals — use suitable plastic or resistant containers.
-
Store sealed; shelf-life ~ 2 years (if sealed). Keep away from children.
🏨 Why Polistrip C-NA is Categorized under “Hospitality / Floor Care”
-
On the company’s Floor Care page, Polistrip C-NA appears under the list of floor care products, indicating it’s intended for floor stripping in hospitality, hotel, commercial cleaning or facility-maintenance contexts.
-
Its design — non-ammoniated, water-based, concentrated — makes it suitable for institutional or contract cleaning services (hotels, guesthouses, apartment blocks, offices, hospitals) where frequent floor re-polishing/maintenance is needed and safety/odor control matters.
